Applauding a CEO Who has the Audacity to Promote a Capitalist Viewpoint

In a recent Wall Street Journal op-ed, Whole Foods CEO John Mackey voiced his opposition to socialized medicine, and offered up several great ideas for healthcare reform that are fully consistent with free markets (for example, having various state governments end their bans against consumers purchasing insurance from out-of-state). The United Food and Commercial Workers union has its knickers in a knot over the op-ed, and calls for Mackey to be fired. So in other words, a leftist union wants a person to be fired from a capitalist job because he has the audacity to promote a viewpoint that is… capitalist. It is to laugh. Join me in applauding Mackey for his principled stand for capitalism and against socialism!

Whole Foods is as far as I know the only non union grocery store in NJ. My son worked at Kings and had to pay ridiculous dues for things he never wanted nor asked for. Moral at that store is terrible by the way as his girlfriend still works there and discusses the place in a not so good light. Turnover seems high too.
