A Trip for Your Health…
When most people think of a vacation, their daydreams don’t involve surgery. If you’re a Canadian though, and you’re in pain, it may be exactly what you imagine while you lay in bed waiting for your pain medication to kick in. Pretty scary huh? Thousands of Canadians come to the US every year and pay out of pocket to get the health care they need in a timely manner. They use their vacation time and their own money to obtain necessary medical treatment, to avoid having to suffer obscene amounts of pain, or waiting patiently to die be seen by a doctor. Unfortunately this is not just an occasional, isolated incident under government run health care. There are many, many more stories just like those shared in this video.
