0bama, Pelosi, etc. Seek to Punish Those Who Have the Audacity to Breathe

The United States was founded under the proper moral principle that every individual has inherent certain unalienable moral rights — including but not limited to the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The country has not always implemented this principle consistently, but great leaders from John Adams to Martin Luther King Jr. have worked hard to move the country in the right direction. Unfortunately at present, our federal government is thoroughly populated with harmful politicians who embrace an opposite principle — that individuals have no inherent right to liberty, and therefore, government can initiate the use of force against peaceful citizens whenever it feels like it can get away with it. As such, it is no surprise that some of the very worst of these politicians — such as 0bama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid — advocate forcing Americans to buy a service that some of them do not want, and punishing them (via mandatory taxation) if they refuse. This amounts to an entirely new, repulsive way of taxing Americans. As political commentator Robert Tracinski notes, “The government has never required people to buy any good or service as a condition of lawful residence in the United States. This is a whole new evil: a tax levied on you just because you exist.” That’s 0bama and his fellow socialists in a nutshell: they seek to punish success, even if the success is as basic as you having the audacity to breathe.
