Obama Goes Back on His Word (Yet Again)

January 9, 2010

Obama’s deeply troubled relationship with keeping his word continues. The latest examples come courtesy of Andrew Breitbart, who published on his website a compilation of eight different videos of Obama stating that healthcare legislation negotiations would be televised. To cite one of these eight examples, during a March 1, 2008 town hall meeting in Ohio, Obama claimed that “We’re going to do all these negotiations on C-SPAN. The American people will be able to watch these negotiations.” At present, negotiations are going on behind closed doors — which prompted C-SPAN to send a letter requesting that the negotiations be televised. But Obama and the other leftists in power have refused this request (save for one measly hour of programming — a slap in the face to the American public). It should be obvious to all but the most ardent of Obama’s fellow socialists that Obama has gone back on his word yet again. Shame on Obama, and shame on those who enable his lack of integrity by supporting him.
