OH MY..Michael Steele to GOP ” We SCREWED up after Reagan”
Now this is what I’m talking about.
Just in time for the 2010 election cycle and the first sign that GOP party chairman Michael Steele might “ GET IT“, Steele released a book on Monday called “Right Now: A 12-Step Program for Defeating the Obama Agenda,” that takes the past and current GOP task for screwing up.
WOW
Does this mean that the people who have been involved in the TEA party movement can rush back to the GOP?
Nope!!!
One of the reasons this evaluation by Steele was made most likely, was because of the pressure of the protests last summer and the hierarchy in the party to “ GET IT. However you feel about Steele, this is a good first step to recognizing a problem and trying to correct it.
Is he serious? I think he would have to be to write this passage from the book……
“We must support Republican officials who assert these principles,” he writes. “When elected Republicans vote against Republican principles, the voters must withhold their support — withhold it vigorously and consistently.”
“Vigorously and consistently ” withhold votes!?!?!?!?!? This sounds like something that I have heard many a dedicated and concerned citizen say about those in the GOP who may not do the right thing. Being that the GOP is running low on cash, probably adds to this new revelation from the GOP chief, but every little bit helps that can move the party BACK to it’s traditional roots.
Let’s hope that Chairman Steele and the party he leads is really READY, to become the party of Reagan again!!!
