Another Horrible Nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court… as Expected

As expected, Obama has announced yet another horrible nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court. This time, it’s Elena Kagan, who admits that “Where I grew up — on Manhattan’s Upper West Side — nobody ever admitted to voting for Republicans.” Tellingly, the sheltered Kagan lacked the intellectual fortitude to shrug off her Moscow-on-the-Hudson leftist indoctrination. In her college thesis “To the Final Conflict: Socialism in New York City, 1900–1933,” Kagan writes of socialism’s supposed demise that it was “a sad but also a chastening one for those who, more than half a century after socialism’s decline, still wish to change America…” (Note Kagan’s use of the term “change” as a euphemism for socialism; this euphemism was employed by Obama countless times during his presidential campaign because he lacked the courage to be bluntly honest with this fellow Americans about his anti-liberty beliefs. Note also that individuals who value the unalienable moral rights to life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness would not be saddened by socialism’s demise, but rather would heartily applaud the abolition of this inherently evil political philosophy.) Kagan further embarrassed herself by displaying her contempt for American soliders — and America itself — when she chose to kick military recruiters off the (leftist) campus at which she was dean of the law school. As syndicated columnist Robert Tracinski puts it, “Consider the value system implied in banning military recruiters from campus — in time of war — over so lame and evasive a half-way policy as ‘don’t ask, don’t tell.’ It implies a view of the United States military as evil — and by extension, a view of America as a society so oppressive that it does not deserve to be defended against foreign enemies.” If confirmed, Kagan will no doubt inflict damage on America for decades. I encourage all Americans who value their unalienable moral rights to stand up for those rights by firmly and vocally opposing Kagan’s nomination.
