Keith Olbermann and Major League ( Hate Speech ) Baseball

Now I might get in trouble for saying this among my conservative brethren, but I think it needs to be said. I have a sneaking suspicion that Keith Olbermann would be a great guy to go to a ballgame with. I do, I really do. The only problem is his night time job turns him into a volcano of Hate Speech which really can’t be ignored.

On Monday the website Respect The Great Game was launched with the intent of asking a very simple question .Why would the people who are entrusted with care taking America’s pastime willingly associate themselves with Keith Olbermann? Keith writes a blog on MLB.com and it is troubling to a great many people. The site showcases some of Olbermann’s most incendiary rants against former President Bush, and other ordinary citizens who make up the majority of those who love going too and watching baseball games. If his employers at MSNBC are comfortable with the modern day Joe McCarthy ranting and raving that is their right. America’s pastime though should be held at a higher standard than to allow Olberman to continue his 21st century brand of McCarthyism on his night job and be associated with baseball in any official capacity.

Stop by the site today and sign the petition which will be delivered to the Commissioner of Major League Baseball asking why the Crown Prince of Hate Speech is allowed to sully by association the game which is at the heart of this great country of ours.

The question is worth asking. The answer should be interesting.

Hopefully I will be able to one day and see if my theory is correct and watch a ball game with the Hate Speech Merchant himself. I’ll just pretend I’m Dan Patrick.
