It seems that there is a TON of confusion coming out of Washington this week in regards to the proposed health care legislation being hammered out in committees.

And it’s only Tuesday.

The President and his can’t shoot straight gang have all along been proposing a public option to help combat the alleged deficiencies that are in our private health care system. The goal of course is too eliminate private insurance all together at some point and to eventually go with a single payer system like Canada and Great Britain. Well over the weekend some member of his administration indicated that possibly the public option was off the table. The team over at the White House must have been watching MSNBC and actually believed that the opposition to this was actually ASTROTURF ( like they know what that means) and was not credible. I have a feeling the internal numbers are coming in and they know that they are in trouble. They realize they probably bit off more than they can chew and need to back off.

Enter Nancy Pelosi……. She evidently did not get the memo that maybe the lefitists should cool there jets.

Nancy Pelosi just blasted out this statement signaling that House Dems are standing firm behind the public option, despite the White House’s apparent softening of support for it over the weekend:

“As the President stated in March, ‘The thinking on the public option has been that it gives consumers more choices and it helps keep the private sector honest, because there’s some competition out there.’

“We agree with the President that a public option will keep insurance companies honest and increase competition.

“There is strong support in the House for a public option. In the House, all three of our bills contain a public option as does the bill from the Senate HELP Committee.

“A public option is the best option to lower costs, improve the quality of health care, ensure choice and expand coverage.

I’m not sure, but I think Madame Speaker just drew a line in the sand at the Presidents feet and dared him to cross it. This is highly unusual in a big piece of legislation to come out against the person in your own party who HAPPENS to be The President of the United States and say that you are not backing down.

I think I know why.

While President Obama is still treated as somewhat of a cult figure by some in this country I think the true hard nosed politicians like Nancy Pelosi and Henry Waxman with good ole Barney Frank know that this POTUS can be rolled. He is not the intellectual heavyweight that the press made him out to be in the last election. They meet with him weekly , sometimes daily, and they most know that he can be pushed around. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next week or so to see who wins the day with this legislation and what stays in. The Nancy Pelosi version or The Presidents new version that can change any minute.

I would imagine with all the yelling and screaming that is going on with this issue you would have to be A. ( Dead, in which case you don’t need health care ) or B.( Up on the international space station, which in that case Doctors don’t make house calls so your screwed) to not hear this debate. I understand that with the phenomenal job our legislators have done with the other pieces of legislation this year, anything to take over close to 1/6 of the U.S. economy is going to stir up passions. Get people riled up! Make us want to shout and yell!!

But it’s time to chill out just a lil bit. The yelling and screaming after every answer we don’t agree with that I have witnessed at many town hall videos across the country makes us look like a better looking, well dressed ( thanks for noticing Nancy Pelosi) group of Code Pink supporters. Our cause may be just, but we still look like the loons who have no argument on the left when we scream and shout.Now I know this puts me at odds with some very good and honest people who are passionate and earnest in their belief that we need to raise as much Kane as possible before the summer recess is over so let me explain why I believe this heresy .

The outpouring of people to the town hall meetings has put some congress people on notice that something has happened in the country that possibly they were not paying attention too. The TEA party movement is alive and well and not something that was manufactured by FOX news or some nefarious George Soros like billionaire for causes on the right. It is a thriving and vocal outpouring of everyday citizens and is now moving from the gathering at State Capitol stage to addressing our grievances to elected officials.

And it’s a DAMN Beautiful thing.

The one thing though that the main stream media and their liberal and socialist allies tried to stick on the TEA party movement was that we were all angry, and had a bad disposition like Keith Olberman. Most of the video taken from these events showed families from all backgrounds attending together. Young and old alike SMILING and applauding at the things being said by the various speakers at those events. The police never reported any incidents. The venues were left better than we found them. The forces of deceptive change were left with nothing to say but that the movement was ” ASTROTURF”.

How long ago that seems.

The videos coming out of the Town Hall meetings show faces that I’m sure could be found from those original rallies back from February and April. Those people who originally showed up in force to protest the insane TARP legislation are now ready to take on the President’s health care takeover bill. The demeanor has changed though. Health Care town hall’s are in some instances looking and more importantly SOUNDING like your at a wrestling match and the wrestler who looks like Osma Bin Laden just entered the ring and flipped everyone the bird. A question is asked, congressperson ( blank) starts to answer and before one sentence is out the crowd starts yelling and screaming.

I understand that the passions are high and the stakes are enormous for this country. We are on the correct side in this debate, the Federal Government has no business trying to takeover health care and destroy it in the name of saving it. Socialism has NEVER worked in ANY country across the span of history and it never will!!

The yelling and screaming though makes us look like those on the left that have run out of ideas and can only shout and scream and throw temper tantrums to try to intimidate and harass. We won the public relations battle in April by showing that thousands of people can come together to protest and address our grievances in a civil matter. We can win this battle also if those same calm and civil minded people show up in force and tell our elected representatives that we are not going to allow them to destroy our best in the world health care system.We just need to make sure that we don’t look like a bunch of Chicago style political cronies and hacks in opposing this.

Let the LEFT muddle in the muck and slime while we take the country back district by district and state by state.

If that were the case though I think the members of Congress who were lied to would have had the agency and those who had lied dragged through the public wringer of humiliation. Especially being that lying to a member of Congress is against the law and members have big enough ego’s that they would not put up with being lied to.

Nancy has put herself into this position because she didn’t want the heat from the loons on the left who think playing Ted Nugent songs at all hours in a terrorist cell in Club Gitmo is torture. She has tried to play both sides of the fence saying that she was ALWAYS against the Bush Admin policies of waterboarding when the record is coming out that she was not. Now she has accused said agency that is in charge of said technique of lying to her about when she was told and who told her. I can only imagine how she will try to spin this one on the Evil Bush Admin

She is in deep poo poo now. This is akin to telling the IRS that they suck on national TV. IF you do that how long before you think you get a audit? The CIA is mailing out more notes taken on this to reporters probably as we speak JUST in time for the Sun morning news programs.

Meanwhile Republicans are smelling blood and are trying to find a way not to blow this. Let’s hope they get their act together and push this loon out of the top spot in the house.

But finally someone from my home state is getting something right. Rep Pete Hoekstra is calling for all the memos to be released on who in Congress was told what and when.

Rep. Pete Hoekstra (Mich.), the top Republican on House Intelligence, in an interview Friday said the document proves that Pelosi knew waterboarding occurred but has denied is because of political pressure from the liberal base of her party.

“Clearly her left wing is outraged that waterboarding was used,” Hoekstra said. “The bottom line is she and her key staff, they all knew about it.”

So what is the big deal you say? The woman is a pathological liar. One who would sell out the interests of this country to gain a lil political advantage. You can have a honest debate about interrogation methods all day long, but to LIE and say she was never told about this by America’s intelligence organizations to save face with the NUTBAGS on the left is despicable.

And while I won’t be as warm and fuzzy as Wanda Sykes was at last night’s Press correspondence dinner talking about someone she doesn’t like and hope your kidney’s fail and you die Ms Pelosi, I will say this.

I hope your face falls off after those botox injections wear off. I know you have a spare one laying around being you are a two faced back stabbing politician of the worst kind.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has recently denied that she knew of the water boarding or any other EIT ( enhanced interrogation techniques) done to the those fuzzy Islamic terrorists currently vacationing down at Guantanamo Bay , Cuba.

Uh Oh. That might not be entirely true.

In fact according to former house member and CIA chief Porter Goss it is a flat out lie. From Mr Goss’s letter to theWashington Post last Sat…..

Today, I am slack-jawed to read that members claim to have not understood that the techniques on which they were briefed were to actually be employed; or that specific techniques such as “waterboarding” were never mentioned. It must be hard for most Americans of common sense to imagine how a member of Congress can forget being told about the interrogations of Sept. 11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed. In that case, though, perhaps it is not amnesia but political expedience.

OOOOOPS, sounds like someone should have some splanin to do.

Of course Speaker of the world Nancy Pelosi knew about this and wholeheartedly approved. She never dreamed of the day where she would be in the position she is and have to backpedal on being rough to terrorists or nice to them.

I’m not shocked though. This is the same woman who famously said in late 2008 on Meet The Press that the Catholic Church had only RECENTLY made a firm decision on abortion.I’m sure Pope Benedict XVI did not bring that up at their meeting earlier this year because the Speaker is so much more knowledgeable on church doctrine than he.

I truly hope that some in the media start to put the screws to this louse and start to speed her exit from the national scene. The nation needs more HONEST leadership right now.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi seems to treat the Air Force like her own personal airline.

Well, that’s according to Judicial Watch, a public interest group that has Defense Department documents dishing the dirt on Pelosi’s frequent requests for military air travel. Pelosi apparently really likes the G5 plane, in particular.

Geeeez what the hell Nancy, you have to be knocked down to a G-5? Was Air Force One not available?

This women was on some people’s radar’s a long time ago as a TOP hypocrite and she in not failing those who had faith in her all those years ago.Lecture us ALL about the dangers of global warming and our carbon footprint but demand the best plane to haul your ass around the country FREE!! That she has the audacity to demand the Air Force account for where these planes are that she thinks she is entitled too and that they fly out of their way back to her diggs in California to accommodate her is absolutely ludicrous.

I would like to think the people of San Fransisco would wisen up and send her packing.

But I could also hope for a Beatles reunion too, and that aint happening either!!!
