The Republican Party has done little — if anything — to successfully fight off the left’s attempts to take us further down the path of socialism. The real fight is being fought — and let’s hope, won — by those grassroots non-politicians who are finding their voice through the tea party movement and putting their elected representatives through Town Hall Hell. (Full disclosure: I am PROUD to be one of the millions of tea partiers.) The Republican Party does not deserve the credit that some Republican politicians and strategists seem all-too-willing to claim for their party. Perhaps if they looked at their overall strategy for the last ten (or so) years, they’d have a better understanding of why they are out of the White House and not in power in the Senate or House. But then, that would require some thinking and self-reflection, which all too many Republican politicians are loathe to do.

The art of brainwashing and NLP is not lost on these people. It is how they get otherwise intelligent people to back their programs blindly. Give Peace a Chance is the almost perfect illustration when someone describes the truth behind the mantra. Nice Job.

Yes, the rally on the 12th was extremely successful and motivating. However, after Reid’s comment afterwards (going to push healthcare through no matter what), we cannot sit back and think we have finished our work. We need to continue to gain membership and plan for our next rally.

You are correct Mark. i was there and the crowds were huge and stretched shoulder to shoulder from the Washington Monument to the Capital building. An announcement was made that ABC News had reported the estimate was 1.5 million. For others to report only in the thousands is the typical effort to minimize the turnout and the movement. I loved the crowd chanting to Congress in waves :”Can you hear us now?” Fantastic turnout and now we must continue to work toward firingng our two NJ Senators who are not up until 1012 and 1014 . But Rep Pascrell (D-8) is up in 2010.

Thank you so much for such a great detailed analysis! I was there and this completely recaps it for me. Also thank you for the videos; I got to rehear my mother and I’s questions and many others and it was very helpful. I appreciate this and all the work you’ve done. I’m continue to try and spread the truth in my high school about this unconstitutional bill and our over-reaching gov!
