Ahhhhhhhhh yes, just what we need, another blogger. I'm a Libertarian with a dash of reality, that believes in ideas not party affiliation. This country has changed the world for the better so many times…… Let's do it again, shall we!?
The Democratic Party contains a gargantuan number of harmful politicians, but some individuals (non-politicians) who are registered as Democrats don’t actually support the party’s ever-deeper descent into collectivism. I encourage these individuals to re-register as independents. Actor John Ratzenberger (”Cheers”) understands why: “This isn’t the Democratic Party of our fathers and grandfathers. This is the party of Woodstock hippies. I was at Woodstock — I built the stage. And when everything fell apart, and people were fighting for peanut-butter sandwiches, it was the National Guard who came in and saved the same people who were protesting them. So when Hillary Clinton a few years ago wanted to build a Woodstock memorial, I said it should be a statue of a National Guardsman feeding a crying hippie.” Kudos to John Ratzenberger, and kudos to all individuals who leave the Democratic Party due to that party’s all-out assault against individual rights.

We all know the differences about how President Reagan handled foreign policy and the economy better than the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania ave. Today on what would have been Ronald Reagans 99th birthday I would like to remeber the one thing that put him over the top in
my book. His humor. You can’t be a great leader if you can’t laugh at yourself and not take your opponents too seriously. Ronald Reagan was a master of self deprecation and of mocking the opposition but not making it personal.
May God continue to bless Ronald Reagan, and may his example help to lead us in the coming days and months ahead
In the wake of a Republican being elected to the U.S. Senate from — of all places! — Massachusetts, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) commented that the Democratic loss was a “shot across our bow… we have to figure out what we’re doing wrong.” A big part of what the Democrats are doing wrong is working feverishly to pass legislation that violates the moral rights inherent to all individuals. But another part of it is all too many Democratic politicians’ classlessness — for example, a fundraising e-mail recently sent out that used a vulgar sexual term to describe those of us in the tea party movement: “tea-bagger.” The boorish senator who used this street slang in his e-mail? Chuck Schumer.

Scott Brown’s win for the U.S. Senate seat in Massachusetts (of all places!) is a giant victory for the tea party movement — the largest grassroots pro-liberty uprising of our lifetimes — which enthusiastically supported his campaign. Be sure that Martha Coakley won’t be the last awful politician to see their career go down in flames, thanks to the fires of freedom stoked by the tea partiers.

This is the podcast of Duke over America originally heard on Jan 18th, 2010.
Fingers Malloy and I talk about President Obama’s 1st year in office and how much FUN that has been. We also tackle the election in Mass to replace Sen Teddy Kennedy and we award Ed Schultz from MSNBC the Ronald Reagan just shut up award plus a Blanket Ragussa prank phone call, and we have the most fun you can legally have in a podcast.
In the wake of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s “negro dialect” remark, he and his fellow Democrats have played their odious “Get Out of Racial Remarks Free” card. Fine: let the nation see them for the hypocrites they are (for the millionth time). But what we should really focus on is not Reid’s crass comment, but rather, his socialism. Toward that end, I echo the following remarks written by novelist Edward Cline: “If the Republicans wished to ‘bring down’ Harry Reid as a means of defeating the health-care legislation, they ought to be challenging his political career, premises, and political agenda. They ought to be screaming their heads off about the Marx/Alinsky/Ayers number Reid and his ilk in Congress and the White House are about to pull on the country. Instead, they are calling for his resignation over a comparatively unimportant racial remark. If Reid is guilty of anything, which is his greater offense? Saying something uncouth, or advocating and working hard to bring about the destruction of American liberty?” Bravo to Cline, who understands that Reid’s truly unforgivable violation against our country is his lust for socialism.
Every year, those of us forced to participate in the Ponzi scheme known as Social Security are mailed a document termed “Your Social Security Statement.” This wording was chosen to intentionally mislead you. When you have a typical bank account, the bank regularly sends you statements, showing money you are legally entitled to. But you have absolutely no legal claim to any money taken from you by the federal government for Social Security. The U.S. Supreme Court has already ruled (in Flemming v. Nestor [1960]) that “entitlement to Social Security benefits is not a contractual right.” In other words, there is absolutely no legal obligation for the federal government to pay anybody any Social Security payments at all. In addition, all the money you have had taken from you to fund this Ponzi scheme has already been spent. To the extent you receive any money today or in the future labeled Social Security “benefits,” it will have been confiscated from current income earners, whether those folks want to participate in this Ponzi scheme or not. Shame on Michael J. Asture — the Commissioner of the Social Security Administration, who signs these so-called “statements” — and the federal government in general for trying to dupe Americans into believing that they have money legally owed to them, when absolutely no such legal obligation exists. Shame too on the socialists amongst us who dearly love forcing their fellow Americans to participate in the largest Ponzi scheme in world history.
