0bama the Tax-Loving Empty Suit

During 0bama’s presidential campaign, he pledged — countless times — that he would not raise taxes on families making less than $250,000 per year. For example, on September 12, 2008, 0bama promised “I can make a firm pledge, under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.” Obama has already broken this promise, and there are ominous signs he may do so yet again. On April 21, 2009, 0bama indicated that he is open to the possibility of creating a so-called “value-added tax” (VAT), a better description for which is a sales tax on steroids. 0bama remarked, “There’s been a lot of talk around town lately about the value-added tax. That is something that has worked for some countries… I want to get a better picture of what our options are.” Obama is charismatic, handsome — and makes absolutely no effort to keep his word to his fellow Americans. In other words, 0bama is the perfect example of an empty suit. Shame on him, and shame on those gullible enough to fervently support his war on prosperity.

“The Worst Time to Make Money in the History of Our Country”

Following the passage of Washington D.C.’s hostile takeover of our nation’s healthcare industry — Cheryl Bachelder — the CEO of AFC Enterprises, which owns the Popeyes quick-service restaurant chain — commented that Popeyes’ franchisees would suffer a “bone-crushing” impact on their businesses due to the new law, and that “This is the worst time for making money in the history of our country.” This is ominous, and it reminds me of two quotes from the outstanding novel “Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand.

First, “Watch money. Money is the barometer of a society’s virtue. When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion — when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing — when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors — when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you — when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice — you may know that your society is doomed. Money is so noble a medium that is does not compete with guns and it does not make terms with brutality. It will not permit a country to survive as half-property, half-loot. Whenever destroyers appear among men, they start by destroying money, for money is men’s protection and the base of a moral existence… When you have made evil the means of survival, do not expect men to remain good. Do not expect them to stay moral and lose their lives for the purpose of becoming the fodder of the immoral. Do not expect them to produce, when production is punished and looting rewarded. Do not ask, ‘Who is destroying the world? You are.”

Second, “If you ask me to name the proudest distinction of Americans, I would choose — because it contains all the others — the fact that they were the people who created the phrase ‘to make money.’ No other language or nation had ever used these words before; men had always thought of wealth as a static quantity — to be seized, begged, inherited, shared, looted, or obtained as a favor. Americans were the first to understand that wealth has to be created.”

The suit-wearing savages who infest Washington D.C. side with their shameful enablers — society’s parasites. I side with the producers — those who peacefully create wealth (small amounts and large amounts), rather than obtain it via tears or guns. With whom do you side? I encourage you to make your decision now, as the time to choose in our country is rapidly running out.

FLASHBACK…Pop up Video….. Barrack Obama & Joe Biden edition

Over at Hot Air Mr Ed Morrissey has a found a bit of a throwback gem from my youth.Pop Up video’s were ALL the rage back in the day and NOW the best of two worlds have merged, POP-UP videos and Joe Biden.

I have a feeling this is going to be a fun election cycle.

Leftist View of Private Property as “Dictatorship” is Deeply Immoral

Tiger Woods recently chose to resume his professional golf career on a private golf course (Augusta National, home of The Masters golf tournament), and this upsets leftist Martha Burk: “Inside the grounds at the Masters, I don’t think there will be any heckling or protests… if the media pursues the issue… it’s such a dictatorship, officials are completely capable of barring any reporter from the tournament who brings it up at the pre-tournament interview.” Imagine that: folks who own private property have the right to do something with that property, even without the approval of Her Exalted Majesty Martha Burk! Burk’s whining captures the deeply immoral essence of the collectivist hatred for property rights: they view such unalienable rights as “a dictatorship” simply because their own dictatorial whims aren’t obeyed.

Shame on Tom Coburn for Praising a Suit-Wearing Savage

Republican U.S. Senator Tom Coburn recently opined that Speaker of the House — and key architect of the Democratic Party’s recent hostile takeover of our nation’s healthcare industry — is “a nice person.” Pelosi’s unending thirst to violate the unalienable rights of doctors, nurses, and their patients (and Americans in general) is nothing short of barbaric. Just because Pelosi knows how to put on a suit, doesn’t make her less of a savage. Shame on Coburn for granting his moral sanction to one of this country’s most harmful and deeply immoral politicians.

Laughing at a Lamestream Media Columnist for his Willful Hatemongering

Miami Herald columnist Leonard Pitts Jr. recently claimed that “tea party protestors called John Lewis a ‘n-word’ the other day in the shadow of the U.S. Capitol.” As it so happens, audio and video of the event show that no such thing happened. (This isn’t surprising, as Lewis has a shameful history of crying wolf: in 2008, Lewis drew comparisons to 1960′s Alabama and claimed that “Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are sowing the seeds of hatred and division” — merely because they had the audacity to criticize their main opponent in that year’s presidential election.) In addition, Pitts also commented that “Rep. Emanuel Cleaver was spat upon” — clearly trying to leave the impression that this was an intentional act. But, video shows that it was clearly unintentional — somebody yelling at Cleaver simply let some spittle inadvertently fly. Even Cleaver has changed his story: both Cleaver (the protestor “spat on me”) and his office (“This afternoon, the Congressman was walking into the Capitol to vote, when one protester spat on him”) originally portrayed it as an intentional act. But now Cleaver lamely protests that he never said that: “I haven’t talked about this incident on TV or anywhere… I never reported anything, never a single thing in Washington, not one thing.” I don’t expect Pitts to apologize for his gleeful rush to false judgment. And I don’t even expect Pitts to apologize for his willful hatemongering toward peaceful, liberty-loving Americans. In fact, I strongly encourage Pitts to continue dragging down the (already and deservedly low) reputation of the lamestream media, which amusingly chooses to print such laughable drivel. Bravo!

Tax Cheat Rangel’s Laughable Anti-Liberty Rhetoric

Tax cheat Charlie Rangel claims that the tens of thousands of tea partiers who recently turned out in Washington D.C. to peacefully and vocally protest the unconstitutional hostile takeover by the Democratic Party of our nation’s healthcare system “looked just like and sounded just like those groups that attacked the civil rights movement in the South.” I encourage more obviously laughable rhetoric like this from Rangel and his fellow socialists. The tens of millions of Americans who are the sons, daughters, spouses, brothers, and sisters of the millions of tea partiers know the truth is the opposite of what Rangel asserts. The more Rangel and other collectivists desperately seek to demonize the tea party movement with their clumsy untruths, the more Americans will learn how clueless and out-of-touch they are.

Encouraging Dr. Cassell to Become Dr. Atlas

Two cheers to Mount Dora, Florida urologist Dr. Jack Cassell, who posted a sign to his practice reading “If you voted for Obama… seek urologic care elsewhere.” Dr. Cassell is right to ask people who support the unconstitutional hostile takeover of the nation’s healthcare industry to seek medical attention elsewhere. (Doctors are not slaves; nobody has the alleged “right” to their medical care.) I encourage Dr. Cassell to take the next step — a profoundly moral one — by refusing to see the people who eagerly support his professional destruction. All doctors who are outraged by the tyrants infesting Washington P.C. — and their supporters — should take up the mantle of Dr. Atlas and shrug off their tormentors. Should he choose to do so, Dr. Cassell will have abundantly earned his third cheer.

To Blame for ObamaCare: The Republicans

The unconstitutional hostile takeover of our nation’s healthcare system — a.k.a. the Intolerable Act of 2010 — was enacted into law without a single Republican vote. Yet, it is the Republicans who deserve the blame for this deplorable state of affairs. For over a century, the Republicans have bought into the same harmful political philosophy as the Democrats: collectivism. (The Democrats have merely done so more openly and consistently.) If the Republican Party aims to learn from its horrendous mistakes, then it must adopt a better — meaning, a moral — political philosophy: that every individual has certain inherent and unalienable rights, including but not limited to the rights to life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness. Only when the Republicans eagerly and consistently undertake to protect and promote individual rights will they be on the proper path to permanently reverse our country’s descent into socialism.

Republicans — and others! — who want to learn more are strongly encouraged to read “Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand.

Union Image Woes Will Continue

A March 14 article in the Detroit Free Press noted that (likely) incoming UAW president Bob King will contend with the union’s “image woes.” King will fail at this task, because unions in America today — through the assistance of the iron fist of government — are legally permitted to violate the unalienable rights of their employers. How so? No individual — whether bargaining individually or collectively — has the alleged “right” to keep a job that he or she refuses to do, which is the essence of striking. In other words, just as an employee has the moral right to resign from a job, an employer has the moral right to fire employees for not doing their jobs to the employer’s satisfaction. But today, union-supported laws — backed via the government’s armed threat of prison — generally make it difficult if not impossible for employers to legally exercise their unalienable right to fire union employees who aren’t doing their jobs. So long as unions and government work together to immorally initiate force against their fellow human beings, they richly deserve all the scorn they receive for their legalized thuggery.
